About

JewliciousU.com: THE digital address for Jewish students worldwide

Introducing JewliciousU.com, a new dynamic way to partake in, report from, and shape global Jewish campus life.

JewliciousU is a unique worldwide multimedia student news source. We are an interactive website, a writing mentoring program, and eventually, smartphone application and weekly professional free PDF newspaper distributed internationally.

JewliciousU.com is reported by the students, for the students, from college campuses, Israel programs and global tzedaka projects. We are a worldwide community: Here, students from all corners of the globe connect and share their adventures and struggles.

We provide on-the-scene iReporting using the latest new media capabilities, as well as teach traditional journalism. At JewliciousU.com every student is a potential reporter, working with an experienced editor, together creating a professional, interactive product.

Amanda Borschel-Dan, the longtime editor of The Jerusalem Post’s Friday Magazine, is the founding editor of JewliciousU.com. She is an experienced mentor and in her ten years at The Jerusalem Post has worked with hundreds of writers.

• Borschel-Dan is currently offering hands-on workshops to students on programs in Israel, and a series of “virtual” workshops for students around the globe.
In JewliciousU workshops, students learn real skills with real-time results. In a series of three-to-six sessions they will generate professional-standard articles, which are instantaneously published on the JewliciousU website.

• Borschel-Dan is also accepting up to 20 students for her year-long internship program. Interns will work closely with Borschel-Dan in person or virtually via email or Skype, to experience all genres of journalism (interviews, features, opinion pieces, iReporting, etc.), and publish at least three pieces a month on the JewliciousU website.

Students develop professional-level writing through serious work with a seasoned editor.

JewliciousU.com joins our cross-posted “mother” site, Jewlicious.com, a seven-year blog with a major following. JewliciousU.com is based in Israel and works in cooperation with global Jewish organizations that have, or would like to have, a presence on university campuses. The Jewlicious family is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
